flamenco was born from multiple cultural influences in Spain, such as the Gypsy culture and the Moorish tradition of the Iberian Peninsula, but most importantly, flamenco is a folk form of the people, a dance of those who work, suffer and live in adversity and life.flamenco is comparable to jazz, gospel music, and many other native forms in which the oppressed created an art form that freed them from despair and beyond themselves in a deep and profound connection with human nature and its tragedy and glorious beauty. Each show incorporates all of these elements and incorporates surprise and improvisation among dancers, singers and musicians.
